Violet4Earth Composite Soil Restoration Film (No Plastic)
Violet4Earth is a 4-composite layer film is designed to trap CO₂ deep into the soils to restore soil sequestration of CO₂ and replace nutrients and microbial life in dead soil. Violet4Earth is 80% food starch, contains no harmful chemicals or plastic and fully degrades within 12-18 months. Violet4Earth is ready to go from container testing to an in-situ dead soil testing site.
Soil systems have lost much of their natural capacity to sequester CO₂ because the organic‑mineral matrix that once stabilized carbon has been degraded; without sufficient organic matter, microbial activity, or stable aggregates, carbon moves rapidly back into the atmosphere instead of being locked into long‑lived soil complexes. This breakdown also disrupts the kinetic chain linking soils, groundwater, and the atmosphere: depleted soils infiltrate water poorly, reducing groundwater recharge, increasing evaporative losses, and accelerating CO₂ exchange at the surface. Cloud seeding cannot fix this because adding atmospheric moisture does nothing to rebuild the soil’s physical structure, carbon-binding capacity, or nutrient‑cycling biology. Without restored aggregates, minerals, and microbial life, soils cannot retain water, regenerate nutrients, or resume their role as a functional carbon sink—regardless of how much rain is artificially induced.
In 2023, we were ready for our first in-situ test site to evaluate the safety, environmental behavior, and carbon‑retention performance of a layered soil‑restoration system consisting of:
* Biodegradable purple starch film
(no plastics; ~12‑18 month breakdown)
* Locally sourced volcanic ash
* Local, naturally occurring soil microorganisms and invertebrates
* No engineered organisms or bioactive compounds.
This in-situ trial would transition from controlled container studies to a 1‑acre degraded‑soil field environment including sampling and analysis yielding raw data for peer review. Our data collection probes will yield valuable data to assist scientists in refining the film's composition.
The United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) reports that the world is losing at least 100 million hectares of healthy and productive land every year (2015–2019). UNCCD states this includes cropland, pasture, forest, and other ecosystems. Yet, globally there is no definition for "dead soil" and no countries are taking inventory of soil losses. Violet Earth wants to embark on this study quickly, we believe the situation to be more dire and rapidly deteriorating in many high population countries. While the UNCCD reports are a baseline only define degradation from erosion, nutrient depletion, salivation, compaction and loss of soil biota. Their studies do not incorporate what we refer to as "shock events" tornadoes, landslides, hurricanes, extreme drought, fire, and 100-year rain events occurring with greater frequency and devastating results.

CO₂Effervescent Ocean Restoration Benthic Reactor
Human activity has pushed the global ocean to the brink of functional collapse, and this now represents one of the most material, system‑wide risks to food security and economic stability. Decades of over-extraction, warming, acidification, and tonnage of unmanaged waste have driven marine ecosystems past their regenerative thresholds. The ocean’s biological “buffering capacity” is no longer keeping pace with the load we are placing on it, and the world’s fisheries—one of the last major protein supplies for billions of people—are approaching irreversible decline. This is not a distant environmental issue; it is a near‑term supply‑chain failure with profound implications for global markets, public health, and geopolitical stability. The window to intervene is narrow, and technologies that restore ecological function at scale are now essential infrastructure, not optional climate projects. While the removal of tonnage of vile trash has been admirable it doesn't change the fact that the microscopic toxics remain, and most of these cause severe diseases not just to marine life but to mammals as well.
Violet Earth's CO₂Effervescent Ocean Restoration Benthic Reactor is comprised of native marine materials that when combined release effervescent bubbles for 12-18 months. What this does for the ocean is amazing, as simple as it sounds, the ocean needs an 'Alka-Seltzer' to recover from our unforgivable abuse.
Undeniable Freshwater Stratification from glaciers and permafrost melt: Ocean stratification has increased 0.8 ± 0.1% per decade since the 1960s, driven by glacial meltwater forming a buoyant freshwater cap that won't mix with denser saltwater below driving marine life deeper into the oceans. This freshwater lid is disrupting the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) — the conveyor belt that distributes heat globally. Scientists estimate these currents could stop within decades at current rates and has already compromised movement of the jet stream, causing feet of rain per hour and months of snow in minutes.
Nutrient imbalance becomes a problem when a freshwater cap that also blocks upwelling of nutrient-rich deep water, starving surface phytoplankton of iron, silica, and phosphate.
Next is lost Albedo- fewer phytoplankton → less DMS (dimethylsulfide) → fewer cloud condensation nuclei → less cloud brightening → warmer surface waters. The biological cooling pump for the ocean is simply shutting down.
Violet Earth's Ocean Restoration Disk addresses all three from the seafloor up. We have strong confidence that our disks when deployed in high numbers, will restore these losses as we continue to remove debris and trash. Our disks are placed on continental shelves (10–200 m), where most marine productivity and coral reefs exist, as well as micro-plastics- you get actual bubble-driven mixing. In deeper water, you get dissolved-chemical density currents. Both achieve vertical mixing — just through different physics.

CO₂‑Active Ionogel Glass Façade System
Investors are overlooking one of the largest untapped climate assets on Earth: the billions of square feet of glass already covering our buildings. With Ionogel‑Activated Glass, those surfaces become high‑value carbon infrastructure—able to capture CO₂ directly from ambient air, store it safely, or route it into on‑site use. This transforms every window into a productive climate engine, turning passive facades into distributed carbon‑management systems at a scale no centralized technology can match. At a cost of $100,00-250,000 once we get production going. The built environment becomes a network of CO₂‑harvesting surfaces, creating a new asset class where climate mitigation, energy efficiency, and material innovation converge.
The other asset class is the millions of solar panels that create energy, while they could also trap and use CO₂ as a harvesting surface. We are currently working on how to modify solar panel systems to do this.
The Ionogel system itself, once installed is projected to last 25-30 years and depending upon where the building is located periodic Ionogel replacement at 15 years (harshest climates).
We still need to test the system in hurricane and tornado prone belts of the US. We believe the outcome will be the same as any other building structure designed to withstand these elements.
We may find that the system actually reduces the number of these adverse and sudden weather events by correcting damage done to the AMOC and Jet Stream. Lowering the temperature of Earth is critical.
Getting as many windows (homes and buildings) covered with the Ionogel CO₂ capture system will ensure the fastest atmospheric correction of high CO₂ in the atmosphere.
This is why developing study sites where the technology and laboratory are available to the public in full transparency is critical to get consumers confident in their understanding of what is happening to the Earth and why these technologies must be employed post haste.
The data Violet Earth will collect will be valuable, real time data enhanced with AI will keep our decisions sharp and informed focusing on the most vulnerable geographical and ocean locations of our world.
The general public does not seem to understand that our human extinction has already started. We already have foreign particles of plastics and chemicals within our bodies. At Violet Earth we believe we can reverse engineer soil to treat diseases in the ground- we've genetically modified seeds- why not make our soil a biological powerhouse?
Earth will not die, not the planet, not for billions of years. Humans and most species, without clean air, clean water and soil to grow food, with the AMOC stalled dangerous storms will sit for months, to years to decades over land. Many parts of the planet will become unlivable deserts too hot or raging with storms for any humans or species to withstand.
Planet Earth will move on without us.
